About Me
Yohannes is a passionate undergraduate engineering student at Stanford University who is keenly interested in mechanical projects, aerospace systems, and deep learning research. He enjoys taking on deep coding challenges and always seeks to broaden his knowledge of new topics.
Apart from his academic pursuits, Yohannes is an active member of various organizations on campus. This has allowed him to participate in various research projects and gain valuable experiences. In the past, he was part of a research project at the University of Las Vegas, Nevada, which focused on optimizing neural networks and computer vision models. Currently, he is building a blimpDuino at Chris Gregg’s lab and building a robot for a RoboSub team that will compete internationally throughout the summer. The team's robot is submersible underwater and can navigate autonomously through a pre-trained computer vision model.
During the summer, Yohannes will be part of the Amazon in Sunnyvale, California (Lab126).
When he's not working on engineering projects, Yohannes enjoys training for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, , listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends.
